A Little History |
|
It wouldn’t be fair to honor Grandma without giving some credit to our generous and inventive Grandpa. He was in charge of the orange slices and the Boston Baked Bean candies that lived on the coffee table in their front room! It is truly amazing what kids will remember! He was a great man that always had time to teach us to play solitaire and share his treats. Soon you will be able to read about their short engagement, a ferry ride to Alaska during the Gold Rush and a marriage on the banks by the local parson when Grandma’s feet hit terra firma. It is that spirit, quality and balance that is reflected in the chocolate that bears Grandma Cora’s name. Please stay tuned for some history and fun when the new website is complete. Feel free to send me any stories that you would like to see shared with others. For now, just feel the love that has continued to exist for over 50 years and have a piece of candy. The angels are lucky to have her among them.
